Well we are currently in Madrid, Spain and waiting to catch a flight to Biarritz, France. Everything went according to plan up to this point. We left Iraan, TX at 3 am and made it to the San Angelo airport to catch our first flight. We boarded the plane and Savanna was out before we left the runway.

We took off and made it to Dallas and had a fancy McDonalds breakfast there. We boarded our connecting flight to Miami, Florida and had a 3 hour layover so we took our last chance to eat in America and grabbed lunch at Pizza Hut.

While checking out the airport we found this backlit mural by some artist that we really liked.
We took off from Miami on Iberia Air and had a 9 hour flight to Madrid. I highly recommend this Spanish Airline. They took really good care of us on the trip with two meals, free movies and friendly service. We arrived in Madrid on time but by the time we got through customs and made it to the right terminal the one flight for the day was gone. We spent two hours in line to rebook for today at 3 pm. We grabbed a hotel room for the night and got some much needed rest.

We had our first meal in Spain at the hotel. The Spanish people are very helpful and friendly.
The trains are not running right now so I had to make arrangements for a shuttle to carry us from Biarritz to St. Jean Pied de Port, France which is our starting point. We will be packing up here soon to head to the airport to catch our flight. We had our first taste of very strong Spanish expresso this morning at breakfast so we are both fired up for the day.
We will check in from France later. Until then Adios from Spain.
